Congratulations to The Ronald McDonald House Charities (Dayton) for receiving a $2,500 Community Support Grant from The Centerville-Washington Foundation! The grant was awarded in April 2020 for the Keeping Families Close Project.
"This year, Ronald McDonald House Charities (Dayton) celebrates 40 years of providing community, comfort and hope to families of sick or injured children." The Centerville-Washington Foundation is very happy to be able to provide a Community Support Grant to help with supporting families in the Miami Valley at The Ronald McDonald House in Dayton, Ohio. The Ronald McDonald House is a "home away from home" for families while their child is being given treatment and loving care in the hospital.
In addition, Ronald McDonald Rooms are located in Dayton Children's Hospital and Miami Valley Hospital. These rooms provide respite to families in a hospital setting while being just a few steps away from their sick children. It is important for families to have a room where they can grab a cup of coffee, get some much needed rest or do some laundry.
Thank you Ronald McDonald House Charities (Dayton) for being there for families of seriously ill children in their time of need. You are a beacon of light and hope to families who are faced with a great challenge of caring for a seriously ill child. The Centerville-Washington Foundation is pleased to be able to help you in your daily care and support of families in need. Congratulations to The Ronald McDonald House Charities Dayton for all that you do!
