The Centerville-Washington Foundation announced that Martha Boice, a legacy in historic preservation, will be honored at the Annual Founders Event on Thursday, October 1, 2020. There are two portions to this year's event. There will be a "video" highlighting Martha's life that can be viewed from anytime between 4:00-6:30 p.m. (Note: The video is about 45 min. in length.) The second portion of Martha's celebration will be a "Zoom Meeting / Presentation" that will begin at 7:30 p.m. Links to both the video and Zoom portions of the event will be sent to each participant via e-mail. Again, the program links will be sent to participants via e-mail before Oct. 1st. ** Also, both portions of the event will be recorded so you can view them after the event on Centerville-Washington Foundation's YouTube channel. ** We're very glad to have so many people attending the Founders Event this year. This virtual evening honoring Martha Boice will be one to remember!!

Martha Boice is a woman of boundless energy. Her tireless drive and enthusiasm have been instrumental in the preservation and documentation of historic properties in southwest Ohio. Focusing on Centerville and Washington Township, Martha’s educational and advocacy efforts on behalf of historic buildings have led to greater public awareness of community history and historic architecture. Martha is one of the reasons that Centerville boasts the largest collection of stone houses in Ohio.
